About Biko Casini

Biko Casini is a soulful musician, n’goni player, percussionist, songwriter, instrument builder, and facilitator whose music bridges cultures and awakens the heart. His performances weave together the ancient traditions of West Africa with contemporary folk, world music, and improvisation, creating experiences that are both grounding and transformative.

Biko is a founding member of Rising Appalachia, the internationally celebrated musical collective known for blending folk traditions, global rhythms, and conscious storytelling.

He also collaborated with Arouna Diarra on the acclaimed album Bamana Ya Sira, a beautiful fusion of Malian musical traditions and contemporary world music.

Throughout his career, Biko has shared stages and collaborated with artists including Dirtwire, Sol Dance, Poranguí, and musicians from African Nashville, just to name a few, bringing his unique blend of rhythm, ceremony, and storytelling to festivals and communities around the world.

Biko is currently working on new music with plans to have new songs released later this year.

More than a concert, Biko offers an immersive experience that invites listeners into presence, healing, joy, and remembrance through music.
