About Close the Gap

Help us this Giving Tuesday to support first-generation low-income (FGLI) high school students!

Close the Gap Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit based in San Francisco. We believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed in life and reach their fullest potential regardless of their economic upbringing.

Through our social impact fellowship every summer, we provide students opportunities to lead social impact project of their choosing through matching them with young professional mentors who have lived/shared experiences. We also aim to support the summer projects through structured curriculum mentoring sessions on topics including, but not limited to, resilience and resume building.

2021 Social Impact Fellowship

This summer, 30 fellows spent four months to grow their skills and confidence through project-based learning and community service. The result? Their impact touched thousands of lives in their local community.

We're 100% volunteer-run, meaning your donation goes further in supporting our students. Through your support, we will be able to provide scholarships to students who participate in our next year's programming and help support them throughout their social impact projects.
