This gathering marks a meaningful shift from the traditional khurral‑hosted Tsagaan Sar parties. In honor of the 75th anniversary of Kalmyks in the United States, community members from across the region are coming together to collectively host this year’s celebration. Tsagaan Sar will be the first official event of our anniversary year and will launch the fundraising campaign that will support the major commemorative events later in 2026.

This year’s Tsagaan Sar is not only a celebration of the end of the hibernation season — it is a celebration of resilience, continuity, and the strength of Kalmyk people across generations in a new land we all now call home. We hope you will join us in marking this historic moment together.
