Samuel Clonts' Story
I’m Samuel Clonts, chef and owner of 63 Clinton in New York City. This November, I’ll be running my first New York City Marathon to support and raise money for The Sylvia Center.
The Sylvia Center is an incredible organization that empowers young people through food education and cooking. It’s a mission that resonates deeply with me. Food has shaped my entire life and career, and I’ve seen firsthand how it can bring people together, build confidence, and create opportunities. Today, as a chef, I have the privilege of witnessing that impact every day.
This marathon also represents a major personal milestone. Over the past two years, I’ve lost more than 150 pounds, and running has become an essential part of both my physical and mental health. Completing 26.2 miles will be one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever taken on, and I’m honored to do it in support of a cause I believe in so strongly.
Every donation helps The Sylvia Center continue providing hands-on culinary education and food literacy programs for young people. Thank you for supporting both my marathon journey and their important work. Your generosity will make a real difference.
