The Story

Your generous donations will help us pay for the production costs associated with creating this short movie that tells the story about a young Orthodox couple, living in Los Angeles, seem to have it all but their faith is being tested when the truth can no longer be concealed. How much longer can they bury this secret and who will make the ultimate sacrifice before more lives are destroyed? What they don't know won't hurt you...or will it?

Every dollar will count in paying for filming, costume and set design, music, editing, film festival entries, and other expenses that are incurred to support production of this incredible story.

Yoav is an Israeli-American actor/writer who started his career in Israel in films, TV shows, commercials, and theatre.

Yoav has been developing his film, "Tshuva" for the last three years, drawing inspiration from his friends, neighbors, past relationships and especially- his childhood. Past, present and future are all coming together for him in this project, while inspiring young LGBTQ community members to be themselves.

As an international filmmaker, Olivia tries to bring the audience different cultures and perspectives of life. She loves to explore in the story and experience with the characters.

**Haobang Hammer Geng- Director of Photography**

Coming from a documentary filmmaking background, Hammer "Haobang" Geng is passionate about telling and visualizing stories of different genres. Understanding stories and characters is the key to Hammer as a cinematographer. Under the guidance of ASC members Johnny Jensen and Bill Dill, Hammer has the philosophy of lighting and composing characters for the emotion of the story. He enjoys collaborating with directors to block actors and using camera movements to highlight actors’ emotions.

Shani is an actress, TV host and producer. She made her TV debut as a series regular in the Israeli hit show "Galis" winning her critical acclaim.

After serving in a combat unit in the IDF, Shani moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

She has starred in Ten Days in the Valley (abc), Shameless, Macgyver, LA’s Finest, NCIS, CSI Cyber, NCIS Los Angeles, Lost Boy, Happy Times (Amazon), the video game Call Of Duty and more.

Daniela is an Argentinian actress and TV host based in Los Angeles, California.

She debuted in the role of Caridad in the widely popular television series Casi Ángeles. With over 15 years of industry experience, she has worked on numerous television shows, movies, and theatrical performances. In 2020, she was awarded best supporting actress at the Dreammachine International Film Festival for her role in the short film Mercy.

Daniela is also credited with her voice dubs for Disney Channel and the Discover Kids cartoon Mini Beats Power Rockers. An experienced host, she has interviewed big names including Backstreet Boys, Daddy Yankee, and Ava Max.

Sivan is an actor, writer and producer, based in Los Angeles.

Writing and performing were always in her blood from early stages of childhood. As a teenager she had been a part of many local theatrical productions and youth show choirs while studying film and communication and had always known that she must pursue a career in Hollywood.

After her military service in the IDF and after completing a three-year program at Haderech- a private institute for acting, it was time to pack up and leave Israel.

Today, Philips continues to act and work on her original screenplays.

Eden began her acting career at the age of 14 in Israel.

Her voice is a well known in more than 150 movies and cartoons in Hebrew such as Toy Story, Ice Age, Maleficent, Barbie, My First Dragon, Tarzan, King Kong and many more.

After seven years of acting, she moved to LA.

While studying with Ivana Chubbuck she appeared in commercials and independent films, as well as writing-directing commercials and films.

Naama is an actress, writer, and producer.

Originally from Israel, she moved to the US in order to pursue her acting career at the age of 18. Trained professionally by both Israeli and American acting and voice coaches, she is best known for acting and producing Dead Voices. She's currently in pre-production of her first TV show.

Sherrie was born in Tehran but moved to Los Angeles at the age of 1, growing up with her parents and older brother in West Hollywood. She has been an educator in Early Childhood Education for 14 year and also owns a travel agency in Los Angeles, specializing in luxury vacation experiences. When she is not busy with work, she is traveling all over the world, already checking off 42 countries and counting. This is sherrie’s very first role in acting ever, and Tshuva’s cast are very excited to work with her.

Originally from Israel, she wrote her first original song when she was just seven.

As a teen, drawing inspiration from a diversity of musical influences such as Alicia Keys, Etta James, Alanis Morissette, Neil Young, Avril Lavigne and Blink 182, Inbar taught herself to play the guitar, piano and ukulele and took lessons for trumpet and drums.

Inbar's singing style has been referred to as smooth R&B with a unique, sultry voice that puts out a relaxed, upbeat, sexy vibe- intertwined with a grounded, down-to-earth energy and has been compared to artists like Corinne Bailey Rae, Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones.

In 2016 she was recruited to sing background vocals and play harmonica for Taboo from The Black Eyed Peas, for his song called "The Fight.” In 2017, they performed it at the Yahoo studios: The Fight Video.

In May 2019 she toured the U.K., promoting her singles and her upcoming EP and was interviewed on the BBC Oxford.

Elinor is an Israeli-American singer-songwriter born in the city of Dimona, Israel.

At a very young age she had an affinity for music. She began singing, writing and performing as early as 9 years of age and routinely kept doing so throughout the school years. Shortly after the graduation she began working with other professionals in the music industry and performed around Israel and Europe. Elinor's musical influences are incredibly diverse ranging from classic to modern Rock, Pop, Blues, Soul and Jazz. Her ability to infuse this vast range of musical styles along with her deep middle-eastern roots helped creating a truly unique concoction of her own. Once she completed her mandatory two year service in the Israeli Defense Forces she made a decision to move to the United States to pursue her music career.
