I started running as a teenager as a way to have time to myself to think and relieve stress. The older I got and the more responsibilities that piled on made my time out running to clear my head more meaningful. Mental health is often a taboo subject in the Black and African American and many other minority communities, which I am determined to play my part in breaking away from the stigma attached to seeking professional mental health support. That is why I am proud to run in support of Team Still I Run.
