Your financial contribution, no matter the size, will directly support Turlock Community Gardens (TCG) fulfill its mission to work inclusively and collaboratively, through sustainable gardening practices, to produce food which fosters and promotes healthy lifestyles and helps build and maintain strong community bonds.

TCG helps residents across socially diverse neighborhoods connect with nature, grow new skills and gain access to locally grown organic produce. The garden is open all days of the week during daylight hours to serve as a learning laboratory, gardening resource and model for fostering the development of other community gardens in Turlock and beyond.

A gift of $120 can help folks gain access to a garden bed to grow fresh produce for 1 year.
"E2" is available to local moms to garden communally and grow new friendships. Sponsorship allows moms to register their families to participate and harvest fresh produce for free.
"B2" is designated to Stan State students, staff, faculty and alumni. Assignments are created where students learn about gardening, composting plants, nutrition and healthy eating, and weaving in literacy and mathematics to promote and
"B5" is designated to a neighboring nonprofit who supports children, teens and young adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one.

Our goal is to create a financially stable and environmentally sustainable community garden through community membership, volunteerism and partnerships.

Projects Completed Thanks to Community Support:
🌱 Compost has been purchased and spread in forty five 10 foot by 20 foot garden beds
🌱 7 Garden Beds Sponsored for IRC refugee clients thanks to yearly donations from Catherine Doo.
🌱 Fruit trees and berry bushes donated by The Greenery Nursery
🌱 On-site Porta Potty now available for gardeners and guest.
🌱 A shed was donated by Home Depot. Funds from GiveButter and other donations paid for handyperson.
🌱 Materials for compost bins were made possible by a donation from Yosemite Farm Credit.
Volunteer Terry Langpaap assembled the compost bins with a design by Hector Vera and team.
🌱 Constructed a "Living Fence" using grape vines. Produce is available for the public to pick for free.
🌱 Parents, students and refugees can register for a free membership to garden on-site.
🌱 Planted 2 Native Garden Areas for pollinators.
🌱 Build and host 2 Free Little Libraries (1 designed for kids to help grow curious minds)
🌱 Free Gardening Suppy Cabinet to allow visitors and gardeners to share and exchanges items.
🌱 Potting Soil Soil station with free soil to help the public start their very own garden at home.
🌱 We have constructed and installed a non-perishable food pantry.
🌱 A Free Arts Supply & Game Cabinet was installed to encourage neighbors to share, give, and borrow items, fostering creativity and community togetherness.
