Skype a Scientist's mission is to make science fun and accessible through personal connections with scientists and art! This year alone we:

Matched 4500 classrooms with scientists for virtual Q&As
Hosted livestreams for 2000 classrooms
Distributed 750 free squid zine/coloring books
Completed a street art campaign about Deep Sea Mining, and another on animal senses and "umwelten"
Collaborated with scientists to help them improve their own science communication
Hosted 5 "Moth Nights" in the pine barrens
Spread science on social media
And more!

We offer almost all of our programming for free. This means we rely on people like you to keep the program running! This winter, we're hoping to increase our monthly donors. These donors help keep our program stable with monthly income we can rely on. If we distribute these small donations across many people, we can maintain a steady stream of programming without having to hustle as hard on the fundraising front. When we can spend less time fundraising and more time on our actual mission: connecting people with science, we know it will be better for everyone!
