The Marian University Knights are proud to raise awareness and support for breast cancer research and survivors during the week of October 12-17, 2026. As part of this event, we are highlighting the work of the Catherine Peachey Fund, a local non-profit dedicated to funding breast cancer research in Indiana. The Catherine Peachey Fund was established to invest in early-stage breast cancer research within the Indiana research ecosystem. When scientists said they needed "normal" tissue to understand cancer, the system said it was impossible. But the Peachey Network of advocates and supporters banded together and provided the initial funding that resulted in the Komen Tissue Bank opening its door at Indiana University. The Catherine Peachey Fund doesn't just fund research; it creates the infrastructure for it!
