This year, Educating Our Community, NFP made incredible strides, but we’re just getting started. With your support, we’ve hosted life-changing workshops, created lasting partnerships, and reached hundreds of community members—youth, adults, and seniors alike—helping them gain the skills and resources they need to succeed.

Our Impact in 2024: In the past year, we brought powerful programming to life: from the Recreating Black Wall Streetpanel, fostering economic empowerment, to the Hoops for Health event, promoting health and wellness, each event has touched lives. With over 900 attendees across our programs, we’ve witnessed first-hand the transformative power of support, education, and community.

Through financial literacy workshops, wellness events, job readiness panels, and skills training, we are helping to shift narratives and create a path for generational wealth and health in Black communities.

Our Vision for 2025 and Beyond With a new goal of $1 million for 2025, we are planning even more impactful initiatives that will deepen our reach and create lasting change in Chicago’s communities. These funds will:

Expand our educational and vocational training programs
Increase access to mental and physical health resources
Grow our community events, providing safe, supportive spaces for learning, healing, and growth

To get there, we’re starting with an immediate fundraising goal of $250,000 by year-end to keep our momentum going and launch new programming in early 2025. This includes the costs for program materials, transportation for youth events, and resources for health and wellness initiatives that impact hundreds of families.
