FAQs

WHO WILL RECEIVE PROCEEDS FROM THIS FUNDRAISER? All proceeds will benefit United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile and our programs for children and adults with disabilities in south Alabama.

DO I NEED TO BE 18 TO PURCHASE AN ENTRY? Yes. You must be 18 years of age or older at the time you purchase entries. Winners should be prepared to provide identification with proof of age in order to claim prize.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ENTRY NUMBER(S)? Your entry number(s) are generated via an automated process upon completion of your order. Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email with a receipt containing a summary of your order and your digital ticket (with entry number) will be to the email. We will enter a physical ticket corresponding to your entry number into the drawing.

WHEN AND HOW WILL YOU SELECT THE WINNER? The drawing for the cash prize winner will take place live on our Facebook page on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 5 p.m.

HOW WILL WINNER RECEIVE THEIR CASH PRIZE? Winner can collect their cash prize on the next business day following the drawing at our offices in 3058 Dauphin Square Connector in Mobile. If you are not local to Mobile, we can mail a check.

HOW MUCH IS THE CASH PRIZE? The cash prize amount is contingent on the number of entries purchased. See below for more details:

750-1,000 Entries Sold = $5,000 Prize
500-749 Entries Sold = $3,750 Prize
250-499 Entries Sold = $2,500 Prize
250 or Fewer Entries Sold = $1,250 Prize

HOW MANY CHANCES TO WIN ARE BEING SOLD? The raffle is limited to the first 1,000 tickets sold. Each entry has a 1 in 1,000 chance of winning the prize; provided that the odds are subject to change dependent upon the total number of entries sold (if under 1,000 entries).

HOW MANY WINNERS WILL THERE BE? There will only be 1 (one) winner chosen who will win the cash prize.

HOW MANY CHANCES CAN I BUY? You may purchase as many chances to win as you choose.

CAN I SPLIT AN ENTRY WITH FRIENDS? Yes! An entry and any potential cash prize can be split amongst two or more people. However--note that one person from the duo or group will be listed as the entry "buyer" for the purposes of our raffle.

DO I NEED TO LIVE IN A SPECIFIC STATE OR AREA TO BUY A ENTRY? No, you can purchase your entry from any state or area in the U.S.

DO I NEED TO BE WATCHING THE FACEBOOK LIVE TO WIN? No. All winners will be notified via email and/or phone shortly after the drawing. We will also post the winner on the website and our Facebook page shortly after the prize drawing (if the winner agrees to disclose their identity publicly).

DO I HAVE ANY TAX LIABILITY IF I WIN? Potentially. The taxable value of the prize will be treated as ordinary income to the winner for federal and state income tax purposes, and the winner will be required by law to pay any tax liability incurred in connection with his/her receipt of the prize, if any. If you are a prize winner, it is important that you determine what federal, state and/or local taxes you must pay and you are encouraged to consult with an accountant or tax preparer to make that determination. UCP of Mobile will issue a 1099 to the winner of the prize.

By participating in this fundraiser, the participant agrees that UCP of Mobile has no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize or by participation in this fundraiser. All sales are final.
