The “Kusanguluka” (kimbundu: joy) performance pops up in formal and informal neighborhoods of Luanda and invites each time a small number of participants to shower themselves together with natural confetti, while expressing joy. — This moment of high energy intends to be a pause to the many challenges citizens are facing during the harsh economic crisis Angola currently is facing — creating a moment of community, joy and laughter in order to celebrate the miracle that life is. We intend to multiple moments of joy in Luanda having the means to pay the time consuming work of producing the raw material, the natural biodegradable confetti made from dry leaves, the photographer and videographer in order to document further interventions around the city space.
