Deep in the mountains of Sichuan, China, lie scattered the forgotten sites of the Third Front Construction. Once the industrial backbone of an era, most have now become overgrown ruins. Yet, on this "enclave" forgotten by history, one of contemporary China's most moving scenes is quietly unfolding. In search of education for their children, Yi ethnic families have migrated from deeper in the mountains to inhabit these vacant residential buildings. The derelict factories, auditoriums, and squares have been rediscovered by their children, transformed into a "Enclave Playground" teeming with untamed vitality.
