Spend a fall night under the stars at Cotton Branch Refuge Project. 🌙

Refuge Under the Stars is an overnight campout experience where you’ll get to see the refuge in a completely different way. We’ll spend the evening together touring Cotton Branch, setting up camp, sharing a plant-powered cookout, gathering around the bonfire for s’mores and conversation, and enjoying a quiet night underneath the stars. 🔥⛺

Then we’ll wake up together the next morning for breakfast, with an opportunity for anyone who is able to stay a little longer and help us with some hands-on volunteer work around the refuge. 🐷💛

🌙 Your Campout Itinerary

🕓 4:00–4:30 PM | Arrival & Check-In
Pull in, get checked in, and take a few minutes to get settled. You can unload the essentials from your vehicle, but we’ll save the full campsite setup until after the tour.

🐾 4:30 PM | Tour of Cotton Branch
We’ll kick off the evening with a guided tour of Cotton Branch Refuge Project. You’ll meet some of the animals who call the refuge home, see more of the property, and get an inside look at the work that happens here every day.

⛺ After the Tour | Set Up Camp
Choose your camping spot, unload your gear, put up your tent, and make yourself comfortable for the night.

🌭 Dinner | Plant-Powered Cookout
Once everyone has had time to get camp set up, our team will fire up the grill! We’ll be serving plant-powered burgers and hot dogs with all the fixings for everyone to enjoy.

🔥 After Dinner | Bonfire, S’mores & Stars
As the sun goes down, we’ll gather around the bonfire for plant-powered s’mores, conversation, and a relaxed evening together. 🍫✨

Pull up a chair, get comfortable, and enjoy being outside at the refuge underneath the stars. There’s no packed schedule for the rest of the night. This is your time to relax, talk, laugh, and enjoy a fall evening at Cotton Branch.

☕ 8:30 AM Sunday | Breakfast
Wake up at the refuge and join us for a breakfast buffet before we start wrapping up our overnight adventure.

🧤 After Breakfast | Optional Volunteer Morning
If you’re able to stay a little longer, we’d love to have you join us for a couple of hours of volunteer work around Cotton Branch. We’ll tackle simple projects such as refreshing water stations, cleaning up debris, tidying animal areas, and helping make life at the refuge a little better for the animals who live here. 💧🐽

The volunteer portion is completely optional, but it’s a wonderful way to finish the weekend and experience another side of life at Cotton Branch.

Your Cotton Branch tour, overnight campsite, plant-powered dinner with all the fixings, bonfire and s’mores, breakfast buffet, and the optional Sunday volunteer experience.

🎒 Please bring your own tent, sleeping gear, camping chair, and anything else you’ll need to be comfortable overnight.
