The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Matt. 13:44

Henri Nouwen teaches us to spend time in silence and solitude as a practice to know oneself and to know God. And just as Isaiah 30:15 reminds us that in the quietness we will be strengthened, it can be a wonderful experience when we journey through silence and solitude in community.

Come and experience a deepened sense of knowing God and being known by God. Our time will be communal soul sabbath, creating space for us to hear from God and treasuring the collective journey together, unhurried and guided with contemplative prompts. We trust the Holy Spirit will illuminate for you where to pay attention and how God would like to minister to and care for you personally in our shared time. There will be time to speak with a spiritual director or discerner to reflect and process your time of silence and solitude. We will enter in silence and close off collectively. Our hope is that you leave affirmed, nourished and refreshed with a deeper awareness of God's closeness to you on your unique journey with Him.
