Sometimes rescue work comes with a few surprises… and lately those surprises have come with some pretty big vet bills.

Over the past couple of weeks we’ve had several unexpected medical expenses for pups currently in our care, and we’re hoping our amazing community can help us close the gap.

Our sweet Ellie visited a veterinary ophthalmologist for eye exams related to her low vision. Total = $794
Kevin had an unexpected emergency vet visit after a foot injury that required treatment. Total = $991
Our newest mama-to-be had a wellness exam today to check on her pregnancy. After bloodwork, x-rays, and an ultrasound we learned she is expecting 7–8 puppies! Mom and babies look healthy, but the visit came to $724.

That brings our recent veterinary total to $2,500.

The good news? Momma and her babies look great and we’re expecting puppies in just 3–5 days! 🎉

The hard part is keeping up with the costs that come with saying yes when animals need help.
