THE VILLAGE PATH PRESENTS

UNMASC 5

Changing the Narrative on Masculinity

Saturday, October 17, 2026
Doors Open at 6 PM

Il Monastero at Saint Louis University
3050 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO

UNMASC is an annual St. Louis storytelling experience exploring what masculinity means, how it shapes our lives, and what becomes possible when we give ourselves permission to rethink it.

For UnMasc 5, eight storytellers will share personal stories about identity, relationships, fatherhood, grief, sexuality, shame, healing, resilience, and self-acceptance.

Everyone is welcome. All genders are invited to listen, reflect, and join the conversation.

THE EXPERIENCE

8 storytellers
Real stories. Different backgrounds. Different perspectives on masculinity.

10 weeks of preparation
Storytellers spend August through October developing their stories, building trust, and preparing to share with intention and care.

A night to connect
Enjoy live storytelling, drumming from Spirit of Angela, food, nonalcoholic drinks, and opportunities to connect with the community.

WHY UNMASC MATTERS

Many of us grow up with narrow ideas about what it means to be a man: be strong, don't show too much emotion, and handle your problems alone.

Those expectations can make vulnerability, emotional expression, and asking for help feel difficult or unsafe.

UNMASC creates space to challenge those expectations and imagine healthier ways of being.

Through storytelling and conversation, we explore masculinity alongside mental wellness, violence prevention, relationships, and community healing
