The Unscripted Project 2024 Fundraiser: Bright Lights, Bold Futures

The Unscripted Project is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to equipping young people with critical life skills like speaking confidently, collaborating effectively, and growing from mistakes through the power of improvisational theater. We do this primarily through our core 10-week program in Philadelphia public schools (and soon, NYC schools as well)! We also run an afterschool House Team, professional developments, and corporate workshops (all proceeds support free programming).

NYC Celebration

We invite you to join us for an evening of improv, reflections on our past year, and a celebration for the incredible community who supports us in the important work that we do. The event will take place on Friday, December 13 at 7:00pm at Dixon Place Theater in NYC.

The highlight of our evening will be an improv show featuring some very special guests - the wildly funny duo Julian Hernandez from Havana Club and comedian Glo Tavarez . Following the show, drinks will be served at the adjacent lounge for a night of mingling and great conversation. We can't wait to see you there!

Tickets are $35 (with a free drink included and raffle ticket included), and donors will receive early access to the event as we have limited capacity. Donors who give $145+ will receive a special access code to claim a free ticket to this event.

Ticket prices cover costs - so we are very appreciative of additional donations. Raffle prizes this year include a Wes Anderson Coffee Table Book (Signed by Wes himself), Russ and Daughter Gift cards and many more!

7.30-9.00PM Remarks from co-founders, improv show, reflections on the year & raffle
9.00-10:30PM Drinks and mingling (one drink is provided per ticket, additional beverages are available for purchase)

ORGANIZATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

We have officially launched our afterschool program, the Unscripted House Team!
We have an NYC expansion in the works, with 2 schools set to launch in January
To date, over 3,000 young people have completed our 10-week core program
Our leadership team served as the keynote speaker at the National Education Association's (largest labor union in the US) annual conference in Philly this summer!
