The Unscripted Project is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to equipping young people with critical life skills like speaking confidently, collaborating effectively, and growing from mistakes through the power of improvisational theater. We do this primarily through our core 10-week program in Philadelphia and New York City public schools. We also run an afterschool House Team, professional developments, and corporate workshops (all proceeds support free programming). STORY, IMPACT, HIGHLIGHTS

This year, The Unscripted Project invites you to “Play It Forward.” Every time a young person steps into an improv exercise, they practice courage, empathy, collaboration, and joy - and those skills echo far beyond the classroom. With your support, we’ve seen quiet students find their voice, new communities form, and classrooms transform in both Philadelphia and our new NYC program. Your generosity helps students build confidence and resilience that they carry into their friendships, their futures, and their communities. Join us in playing it forward and bringing these life-changing experiences to even more young people.

ORGANIZATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

After a successful pilot year, our afterschool program The Unscripted House Team has officially launched in Philadelphia
Our NYC expansion is underway, with 5 classes across 3 schools this semester
To date, over 4,000 young people have completed our 10-week core program
