The Unscripted Project is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to equipping young people with critical life skills like speaking confidently, collaborating effectively, and growing from mistakes through the power of improvisational theater. We do this primarily through our core 10-week program in Philadelphia and New York City public schools. We also run an afterschool House Team, professional developments, and corporate workshops (all proceeds support free programming). Corporate matching

This year, The Unscripted Project invites you to be “UNscripted, On Purpose.” Improv is spontaneous, but every exercise is built with intention: each time a young person steps into a scene without a script, they practice courage, empathy, collaboration, and joy. Those skills don’t stay in the classroom. With your support, we’ve seen quiet students find their voice, new communities take shape, and classrooms transform in both Philadelphia and NYC. Your generosity helps students build the confidence and resilience to meet the unexpected in their friendships, their futures, and their communities. Give with purpose, and help bring these life-changing experiences to even more young people.

ORGANIZATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

After two successful years, our afterschool program The Unscripted House Team continues to grow in Philadelphia
Our NYC expansion is still underway, with 5 classes across 3 schools last semester
To date, over 5,200 young people have completed our 10-week core program
