GENESIS NYC™

Created to Create.

What if a boy/ young man did not have to get arrested, fall behind, drop out, or become a statistic before somebody introduced him to opportunity?

Genesis NYC was created from a simple belief:

Our boys deserve access before crisis.

Imagine walking into your neighborhood community center on a Monday evening and seeing options everywhere.

From 6:00–7:00 PM, one room may have Auto Shop Foundations.

From 7:00–8:00 PM, another may offer Sneaker Design.

From 8:00–10:00 PM, young men may be learning Film & Screenwriting.

At the same time, another room could have Dance & Choreography, Computer Literacy, Music Production, Barbering, Entrepreneurship, Construction, Photography, or a class on How to Become an Author.

Tuesday could offer something completely different.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday could bring even more opportunities.

That is Genesis NYC.

Genesis NYC is an opportunity ecosystem for boys and young men ages 14–30 designed to connect them with skilled men, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, professionals, employers, unions, colleges, training programs, and real economic pathways.

We are not building a program where every young man has to want the same thing.

We are building an ecosystem where he has enough choices to find his thing.

THE GENESIS PATHWAY

DISCOVER | AGES 14–17

Find your thing.

Boys are exposed to hands-on skills, trades, creative industries, technology, entrepreneurship, and careers they may never have had an opportunity to experience.

LAUNCH | AGES 18–24

Turn your interest into opportunity.

Young men begin connecting what they enjoy to certifications, apprenticeships, internships, employment, college, entrepreneurship, and other real next steps.

BUILD | AGES 25–30

Build the career. Build the business. Build the next man.

Young men begin moving toward career advancement, business ownership, contracting, financial growth, hiring, and leadership.

RETURN

The goal is not simply for a young man to succeed and leave.

We want him to come back.

A boy can enter Genesis as a learner, become a worker, build a career or company, and eventually return as the man teaching the next boy.

BOY → LEARNER → WORKER → BUILDER → TEACHER

MEN BUILDING BOYS WHO BECOME MEN WHO BUILD BOYS

Genesis is not built around forcing mentorship.

It is built around relationship through skill.

A mechanic can begin with an engine.

A barber can begin with clippers.

A filmmaker can begin with a camera.

A chef can begin with food.

A contractor can begin with tools.

The work becomes the bridge.

As men show up consistently, teach what they know, answer questions, correct mistakes, demonstrate professionalism, and show young men how legitimate income is built, relationships can develop naturally.

And Genesis is not asking skilled men to continuously donate their expertise for free.

We believe in:

PAY THE TEACHER. BUILD THE LEARNER. STRENGTHEN THE COMMUNITY.

Genesis also creates an economic pathway for the men teaching.

Providers can receive support developing their curriculum, strengthening their facilitation skills, preparing to work with youth, building their business systems, understanding vendor requirements, documenting their program experience, and positioning themselves for future contracts and partnerships.

When possible and funded, qualified providers will have opportunities to be paid for teaching what they know.

So Genesis builds both sides of the ecosystem.

The young man gains a skill, exposure, relationships, and a pathway.

The provider gains paid opportunity, stronger business capacity, experience, and a chance to build the next generation.

Expanding Genesis into additional communities

We are raising $250,000 in seed funding to launch Genesis NYC’s first demonstration year, with a goal of directly serving approximately 150 boys and young men across three community-based pilot sites while creating paid opportunities for local skill providers and building pathways to employment, apprenticeships, education, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

This first investment will help us prove the model, measure what young men are choosing and completing, document outcomes, and build the infrastructure needed to expand Genesis NYC into additional communities

This is not simply about keeping young people busy.

It is about helping them discover:

What am I good at?

What can I build?

How can I make money legally with what I know?

Who can teach me?

Where can this skill take me?

And eventually:

Who can I come back and teach?

Our boys should not have to become statistics before we decide they deserve opportunity.

We keep funding intervention. Genesis believes we must also fund introduction.

Introduce him to the mechanic.

Introduce him to the contractor.

Introduce him to the filmmaker.

Introduce him to the entrepreneur.

Introduce him to the union.

Introduce him to the college.

Introduce him to the employer.

Introduce him to the possibility that there is something in this world he can become exceptional at.

CREATED TO CREATE.

CREATE → CULTIVATE → MULTIPLY → RETURN
