The Mike Desmond Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to honor the life, leadership, and lasting legacy of a man who gave so much to Brick Little League and the Brick Township community. A lifelong Brick resident, Mike grew up playing Little League baseball on the same fields where he would later spend countless hours coaching, volunteering, mentoring, and leading. As President of Brick Little League from 2021–2024, District 18 Administrator, and a longtime member of the Board of Directors, Mike helped shape our league into far more than a place to play baseball—he helped build a community and a family.

Through this scholarship, we hope to carry Mike’s impact forward by supporting young people who embody the qualities he demonstrated throughout his life: leadership, dedication, generosity, hard work, and a commitment to giving back to their community. Every donation will help provide opportunities for deserving students while ensuring that Mike’s influence continues well beyond the baseball field. His legacy will live on in the players he inspired, the families he brought together, and the generations of young people who will benefit from a community made stronger because of him.

Once a Brick Little Leaguer, always a Brick Little Leaguer. Rest in peace, Coach Mike, Big Mike, or simply “Dez.” Your legacy will never be forgotten.
