Today, high in the rocky desert hills, our rescue dog Titan led us to a Labrador lying helpless among the rocks.
He was badly injured and unable to make his way down.
For a moment, all we could think was:
What if Titan had never found him?
Our team carefully carried him down the mountain while our veterinarian rushed to meet us. He was taken for emergency medical care, and now we wait and hope that he gets the second chance he deserves.
But he is not the only one.
Petscentralorg Night Guardians patrols harsh desert areas searching for dogs who have been abandoned, injured, neglected, or simply left behind.
Some are dehydrated.
Some are starving.
Some require emergency veterinary treatment.
And some have almost given up by the time we reach them.
We refuse to give up on them.
