Two Floors. One Mission. One Community. 💙

We're taking a HUGE step forward for Lincoln County, and we need your help to make it happen!

For over two years, Agape Respite Center has been showing up for our neighbors, providing a place where individuals are welcomed with dignity, compassion, and hope.

As the only full-service day resource center of its kind in Lincoln County, we provide hot meals, showers, laundry, clothing, mail services, housing navigation, and connections to healthcare, treatment, recovery services, and other essential community resources.

We serve up to 75 individuals every day, but our current building can only welcome 18 people inside at one time.

On cold, rainy Oregon coast days, that means people are left waiting outside to access services many of us take for granted.

Our current facility also has just one restroom, located inside our shower room. When someone is showering, that restroom becomes unavailable to everyone else.

We've made the most of every square foot, but the needs of our community have outgrown our building.

An Incredible Opportunity Has Opened Up!

We've identified a larger, two-story location in Newport that could completely transform what we're able to offer.

DOWNSTAIRS: EXPANDED DAY RESOURCE CENTER

With renovations and necessary approvals, we hope to:

Increase our indoor capacity to approximately 50–75 individuals.
Expand our hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM to help bridge the gap between daytime resources and evening shelter services.
Provide dedicated restroom facilities separate from our shower room.
Reduce reliance on surrounding public restrooms.
Create a more functional, welcoming space for participants, staff, and community partners.

UPSTAIRS: TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR WOMEN

The upstairs features a separate two-bedroom apartment with its own private entrance.

Our vision is to develop this space into a five-bed transitional housing program for women working toward permanent housing.

A place where women can experience stability, receive support, and take meaningful steps toward independence.

Five beds. Five opportunities for a new beginning.

Why We Need $120,000

To secure this opportunity and prepare the building for services, we're asking our community to help us raise:

$66,000 — One Year of Lease Funding

Providing 12 months of lease funding to help establish Agape in our new location.

$54,000 — Renovations and Program Setup

Supporting interior renovations, commercial flooring, expanded community space, and preparation of the upstairs transitional housing unit.

We're Also Building for Long-Term Sustainability

Alongside this expansion, Agape has begun the process of working toward becoming an approved billing entity.

This is an important part of our long-term vision to develop additional funding opportunities and reduce our dependence on donations alone.

We want to create a financially sustainable future for the services our community relies on.

This Is Bigger Than a Building

It's about someone being able to come inside out of the rain.

It's about a hot meal, clean clothes, a shower, and being treated with dignity.

It's about a woman having a safe place to begin rebuilding stability.

It's about supporting our neighbors while being mindful of our surrounding community.

And it's about strengthening a resource that serves individuals from throughout Lincoln County.

We've spent over two years opening our doors to those who need us. Now we're asking our community to help us open bigger doors.

Whether you give $25, $100, $500, or $2,500, every contribution brings us one step closer.

If you cannot give financially, sharing this campaign with friends, family, churches, and local businesses can make a tremendous difference.

Together, we can raise more than funds. We can raise hope, create opportunities, and build pathways toward permanent housing.
