When someone develops a serious mental illness, it doesn't just affect one person—it changes the lives of everyone who loves them. Parents, siblings, spouses, friends, and other caregivers suddenly become advocates, crisis responders, researchers, and full-time support systems, often with little guidance or support.

That's why KAOS Foundation exists.

Why I Started KAOS

My brother has experienced multiple severe psychotic episodes, and every crisis changed our lives.

As his sister and caregiver, I spent countless hours searching for answers, coordinating care, and trying to help while carrying my own fear, grief, and exhaustion. I quickly realized there were resources for my brother—but very few for the caregivers supporting him.

I created KAOS Foundation so caregivers can access the education, advocacy, support, and hope they deserve while caring for a loved one living with serious mental illness.
