Grow a Strong Family (GASF) supports family members and their with loved ones with serious mental illnesses (SMI) or serious brain disorders such as Bipolar Disorder (SBD), Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, personality disorders, and other neurological brain disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Family members include caretakers, typically parents of transition age youth to adults who have SMI/SBD, although parents of younger children also participate in the services GASF offers. Siblings, spouses, grandparents, extended family and friends fall under the umbrella of the family members we serve.

Professionals in the fields of mental health, law, and family life education avail themselves of GASF content and the learning platform. There are opportunities for being mentored by a seasoned certified family life educator with over 35 years of experience in mentoring mental health professionals to better serve their clientele.

All of the programs and services are offered online, via zoom, and through phone calls. This includes the coaching program, special events like "Paint Nite," "Comedy Nite," "Games." The weekly support group for parent survivors of child suicide meets on zoom.

GASF is responsive to the families it serves and develops the resources needed as requested by our families. We are seeking ways to be even more available than we currently are. Podcasts. "Ask the Expert" segments. Live feeds.
