Brain Benefits: Through social engagement programs, like Dancing to Remember, participants coordinate movement and conversation. This dual-tasking promotes neuroplasticity - the brain’s ability to create new pathways - which may help delay the progression of dementia.
Caregiver Resilience: Jerry admits that caregiving is "an adjustment in life. It’s only difficult when you don’t adjust to it. I plan more, I’m more patient, and I think I’m more loving." Giving Voice Foundation provides him, and thousands of other caregivers, with the free resources and support they need to adjust, cope, and find joy amidst the difficulty.
Safe Spaces: We intentionally design every program - from our clinical consultations to our community gatherings - to be a safe space where people can let their guard down and experience genuine connection. We show people that joy is still possible amidst this disease.
