Shortly after the death of his brother, Casper, Jeremy takes a trip to sell the van left to him. When Casper's best friend, Leah, decides to join him, tensions between them rise as they grapple with their grief.

My name is Tyler Brown-Ortiz. I am the writer of VanLife - The Short Film. To me, this film marks the culmination of about a year living on the road in a camper van followed by a year of living in Los Angeles. While on the road I made it my mission to experience as much nature as possible. While in LA the mission was to make friends and get to work in the film and entertainment industry. I would say I have succeeded in all counts!

This film provides the opportunity to marry the two experiences. I can pay homage to my time on the road with the help of a film crew comprised of friends I have made while in the city.

All that I need to make this happen is you. Yes you, reader of this paragraph and potential donor. Producing something of high quality is an expensive undertaking and that is where you come in.

What we need is $10,000 to cover our production costs. These costs include film equipment, set design, as well as food, housing, and travel for our crew (as we will be shooting for multiple days in the Southern California Desert). We also need to make sure the crew gets paid for their hard work! Once the film has been shot we will also need to compensate an editor, color grader, and sound designer. Finally, we will need funds to submit the film to festivals so our work can widely reach audiences.

At the moment our team consists of a producer, Eleanor Vigneault, the producer of the first short film I worked on as a production assistant when I arrived in LA. We also have our director, Seth Woodhouse, one of my first friends in this city. Without them I would be but a lonely writer. As the crew is filled out in the coming weeks I will be sure to include them here! We have also secured one of our stars (besides me). The Van with a Plan, all the way from Connecticut, Appa! After working on short film sets for a year, he is incredibly excited to have his on screen debut!
