The Celebration of Science & Sustainability is the signature event of Valley Climate Action Week 2026.

Hosted at the beautiful 214 Loft in historic downtown Stillwater, the evening brings together community members who believe science, collaboration, and local leadership can create lasting change. Guests will enjoy thought-provoking presentations from leading climate experts, recognize outstanding sustainability leaders through the Sustainable Stillwater MN Sustainability Awards, connect with fellow community members, and hear how each of us can help build a healthier, more resilient future.

Featured speakers include:

Paul Douglas – Meteorologist, entrepreneur, and author connecting weather, climate, business, and community resilience.
Mark Seeley – University of Minnesota climatologist sharing decades of evidence-based climate and weather expertise.
Heidi Roop – Director of the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership, helping communities prepare for climate impacts through practical solutions.

The evening concludes with a community call to action from Executive Director Andi Arnold, highlighting how Sustainable Stillwater MN continues to connect people, elevate positive voices, and create local impact throughout the year.
