About RepresentEd

Founded in 2017 at Stiles Hall, UC Berkeley, RepresentEd was created to connect non-traditional professionals with meaningful career opportunities. In 2021, we expanded our network to support students and corporations, and in 2022, we grew our reach to Oakland to deepen our community impact.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between non-traditional students and high-growth careers by providing essential skills, mentorship, and access to networks that support long-term economic mobility.

We offer programming in leadership development, industry-aligned skills, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Through strategic partnerships with employers, we create pathways that strengthen career readiness and foster financial empowerment in communities where systemic barriers limit opportunity.

What's Ahead in 2026

Your year-end gift directly supports our 2026 program expansion, enabling RepresentEd to scale our impact, strengthen workforce systems, and leverage innovation to serve more Associates than ever before.

Scaling Proven Programs

We are expanding initiatives like the Community Caregiving Initiative, developed in partnership with the San Francisco Foundation. We are also leveraging case studies such as the Solano County Biotech Innovation Summit, created with the Solano County Workforce Development Board, to replicate successful models in new regions.

Driving Systems Change

By influencing workforce pipelines and education-to-career systems, we continue to address inequities at their root. Through partnerships like KP Launch with Kaiser Permanente, we support more than 100 Associates each year in non-medical healthcare pathways, demonstrating how intentional employer collaboration can reshape opportunity.

Integrating AI for Greater Impact

We are incorporating AI-powered chatbots across both our operations and programming to expand individualized support and improve the Associate experience. Associates can interact directly with AI tools to hone their career readiness skills and receive real-time coaching, helping them build confidence and navigate opportunities with greater ease. At the same time, we are equipping Associates with responsible AI skills, preparing them to thrive in a rapidly evolving workforce.

These priorities represent the next chapter of RepresentEd: expanding opportunity, transforming systems, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
