Entire chapters of our nation’s history disappear—not because they weren’t important, but because they were never preserved.

America’s 250th Anniversary gives us a once-in-a-generation opportunity to change that.

Voices of Freedom 250 exists to ensure the voices that preserved our freedom are never lost.

Our Mission

Voices of Freedom 250 is a nationwide movement dedicated to engaging, creating, preserving, and celebrating the voices of America’s veterans.

Launching in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, and traveling across all 50 states throughout America’s 250th Anniversary, the movement comes to life through a national tour featuring the Voices of Freedom Experience, the Hall of Voices, live performances, and community celebrations that honor the men and women who have served our nation.

More than a series of events, Voices of Freedom 250 brings communities together through immersive experiences where veterans can share their stories, families can honor their loved ones, artists can transform those stories into music and creative expression, and Americans of every generation can experience the human voices behind our nation’s freedom.

Each city becomes more than an event.

It becomes a place where veterans are honored, voices are preserved, communities are united, and history comes alive.

Every experience contributes to our national mission of preserving 250,000 veteran voices through storytelling, professional recordings, creative expression, and permanent archival preservation.

Our goal is simple:

To ensure future generations don’t just read about the men and women who defended freedom—they can hear their voices, understand their experiences, and carry their legacy forward.

The Voices of Freedom Experience

Every Voices of Freedom 250 event is intentionally designed to engage, inspire, preserve, and celebrate.

Each host city will feature experiences such as:

The Voices of Freedom Experience, where veterans can record and preserve their stories.
The Hall of Voices, an immersive exhibition honoring the lives, service, and sacrifices of America’s veterans.
Live concerts and spoken-word performances inspired by the voices and stories collected throughout the initiative.
Interactive exhibits and creative experiences that invite families, students, and communities to participate together.
Community celebrations that strengthen connections, honor service, and remind America that behind every generation of freedom is a generation willing to defend it.

Every city becomes both a celebration and a permanent contribution to America’s living archive.

Proven Leadership

Voices of Freedom 250 was founded by Sir Billy Dorsey, Jr.—son of a retired United States Air Force Senior Master Sergeant, Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter, philanthropist, National Ambassador for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and Founder of SongKey, an innovative creative expression framework helping individuals transform lived experiences into voice, connection, and purpose.

Over the past two decades, Sir Billy has successfully conceived, led, and produced multimillion-dollar philanthropic initiatives that have united nonprofit organizations, artists, corporate partners, media, donors, and communities to create measurable impact throughout the United States and internationally.

His leadership includes:
