A poem has the power to make you cry.

A song can remind you of someone you love.

A story can change the way you see the world.

But what if a story could also save a life?

Every day, families in our community are affected by lung disease, breast cancer, environmental challenges, and preventable illnesses. Too often, these conversations happen only after a diagnosis. We believe it's time to start talking sooner.

That's why we're creating Voices of Life: Art, Awareness & Healing.

This isn't just another health event. It's a movement where artists become advocates, spoken word becomes education, and creativity becomes a catalyst for healthier communities.

We're inviting poets, storytellers, musicians, and spoken word artists to use their gifts to elevate awareness around healthy lungs and tobacco-free living, breast health and early detection, and environmental health and health equity. Through original performances, artists will compete for cash prizes while inspiring audiences to think differently, ask questions, and take action.

Some people will leave entertained.

Others will leave informed.

Our hope is that everyone leaves inspired.

Because every voice matters.

Every story matters.

Every breath matters.
