Postured In Kindness is hosting a dual volunteer and community feeding event alongside God's Pantry in Plano. We need your hands, your heart, and whatever you can bring.

Two Ways to Serve:
Inside: Volunteers work alongside the God's Pantry team helping with food distributions — serving their regular clients with dignity and care.
Outside: We feed our unhoused neighbors and the broader community directly — everyone is welcome to come get food. No questions asked.

You do not need special skills — just a willing heart. Whether you are a student looking for community service hours, a professional wanting to give back, a retiree with time and wisdom to share, or simply someone who believes in the power of kindness — there is a place for you here.

🍽️ Bring Food — Any Way You Can!
• A main dish
• A meat dish
• A side dish

Cook from your heart — or pick up from your favorite restaurant. Takeout counts! 💛

Local restaurants and businesses: if you would like to donate food, we would love to partner with you — reply to coordinate a drop-off.

🥫 Food Pantry Donation Items:
• Canned meat (tuna, chicken, SPAM)
• Canned vegetables and beans
• Non-perishable staples
• Water and soda/pop
• Fresh fruit and desserts

🛍️ Supplies Needed:
• To-go plates and containers
• Cutlery (forks, spoons, knives)
• Paper towels and napkins
• Trash bags
• Serving spoons and tongs
• Hand sanitizer and gloves
• Ziploc bags
• Folding tables and chairs (HUGE blessing if you can bring these!)
• Canopy tents

✂️ Barbers & Stylists Needed!
We are looking for licensed barbers and hair stylists who want to give back! Come set up and give free cuts and styles to our neighbors. Email Posturedinkindness@gmail.com to coordinate.

👕 Clothing Closet — Gently Used Donations Welcome:
Bring clean, wearable items in good condition. Drop-off only please — dignity matters. No torn, stained, or worn-out items.

👟 What to Wear:
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Dress for the weather — this is an outdoor event.

📋 Volunteer Waiver Required:
All volunteers must complete the PIK Volunteer Waiver & Photo Release before the event: posturedinkindness.org/forms.html

📋 Get Your Food Handler Certificate!
Often available at low or no cost. Ask us and we will help connect you!

🤝 Also Volunteer with North Texas Food Bank!
NTFB supplies the majority of food pantries across our region and they need volunteers too. Visit ntfb.org/get-involved/volunteer to sign up.

Every dollar raised goes toward food, drinks, and supplies for this event. Any funds not used will roll over to support our next community event — nothing goes to waste.
