Vindicated Pit Bull Rescue pulls pit bull type dogs from the Prince George’s County shelter where Breed Specific Legislation is still in effect. This means that many of these dogs don't get adequate care, community resources for them are non-existent, and if they end up in the shelter, their chances of adoption are extremely low. Since 2014, VPBR have been rescuing and rehabilitating often critically ill dogs from an unforgiving environment.

From freedom ride to adoption, our dogs are in a foster home where they receive full vet care, nutrition, basic training and sometimes even care from a veterinary behaviorist.

Our Animal Placement team matches each dog to a home where they will thrive.

Vindicated Pit Bull Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, run by volunteers. We rely on the generosity of you to continue to save inherently good, deserving dogs.
