We are excited to announce our new Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Cut Flower Subscription program based at the Bybee Lakes Hope Center Victory Garden. We are assembling cut flowers into beautiful bouquets to offer during the summer of 2026.

While our program does not sell fresh produce—so that we can maximize donations to the Bybee Lakes Hope Center kitchen—our Cut Flower Subscription CSA follows a similar model. By supporting this initiative at the BLHC Victory Garden, you help create a sustainable source of funding for gardening workshops, educational activities, and community programs.

The CSA Subscription model has its roots in the work of Black farmers in the American South. In the 1970s, Dr. Booker T. Whatley of Alabama developed the concept to provide direct community support for Black farmers who were often denied access to federal loans and funding. Families would contribute at the start of the season and return throughout the year to harvest their share.
