You may have noticed that we have been painting and upgrading our space. Staff, board members and friends have been volunteering countless hours to give things a fresh look. Our Rock and Roll Yard Sale back in August was a fun event which helped us clear out some inventory and fixtures so we could get to work on planning out all the possible ways we could use our facility.

In addition to using our lobby space for coffeehouse events and special concerts, we will be starting our first ever BVM Student Orchestra - an Ensemble Band Program developed specifically for Home School, Tech School and Agricultural School students. Several talented members of our staff are eager to launch this program, providing individualized lesson instruction during the initial months leading to the program's start this March 2025. Thanks to our partnership with K&S Music, BVM can provide affordable, quality school band instrument rental with a full line of instruments readily in stock.

While we are still getting on our feet as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, community support is so important for us to make all these wonderful things happen. We need some help right away to make this happen. Here's where you come in! Your donations will directly contribute to the following things.

In order to accommodate this program - we NEED to be able to purchase chairs and music stands! This new seating would also be a huge help for our Coffeehouse and other special concerts. Right now we have to borrow chairs each month from Uxbridge Public Library to accommodate our needs. If we can buy a nice new set of padded, stackable chairs it would be such a huge help. Additional music stands would help as well so we have plenty and don't have to borrow them from our lesson rooms.

We'd love to able to build out our front room to look more like a professional performance space! The includes an elevated stage area, new paint and possibly a mural, improved lighting so the whole ensemble can be lit, a permanent location for our mixing board and more options for comfortable seating that doesn't require our volunteers to move all of the furniture around each time we have an event. This seating would also be used for our lobby area to make more comfortable options available to families who are waiting during a lesson.

We need Frames for our for Rock Band Alumni Posters! One of our goals in this renovation is to frame up all of the posters adorning our walls from all of the prior (and future) Bandcamp concerts. We really want to preserve and protect these to help share our long legacy of this wonderful program. Some of our past alumni are now teachers and employees of BVMPAC!

Help us cover our staffing and overhead costs for the ensemble! This means we can begin the program as soon as we are ready even if our enrollment is small at first.

We are happy to participate in Giving Tuesday on Dec. 3, 2024 but we have decided to start that fundraiser early! Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, started in 2012, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. We know this is an important time of year when people often like to offer support to organizations who are doing valuable work right in their own community. Please consider BVMPAC as part of your annual giving this year in 2024.
