Marasia is a bright and ambitious student from Philadelphia who faced numerous challenges growing up in a community with limited resources. Despite these obstacles, her determination to succeed never wavered. When Marasia received a scholarship through Attract Philly's program, it transformed her life. She was able to enroll in her dream university, where she is now thriving in her studies and actively participating in community service projects. Marasia's scholarship didn’t just provide financial support; it gave her the confidence and opportunity to pursue her dreams and give back to her community.

The reality for many students in Philadelphia is disheartening. Approximately 26% of families in Philadelphia live below the poverty line, and students from low-income families face significant barriers to higher education. Only about 30% of low-income students from Philadelphia enroll in college, and the graduation rate is even lower. These statistics underscore the importance of our efforts to provide scholarships and support for these deserving students.
