Rowing is an expensive sport. Over 50% of our expenses come from fundraising each year. This support helps us maintain our boats, purchase new equipment, enter regattas, and provide scholarships to ensure rowing is accessible to everyone. This culture of inclusivity and community support has led to 8 State Championships in the last 4 years and more boats going to Nationals each year. Last year our Girls Junior 8 won the Dee Campbell Trophy at the Stotesbury Regatta in Philadelphia. In addition, we provide over $12,000 in scholarship support to ensure that any students who wants to row can do so.

TAG DAY is an essential part of our fundraising efforts. With a goal of $10,000, we knock on every door in the Wakefield High School district.

Wakefield High School (WHS) crew is a coed, varsity sport that trains and competes in the Spring season. Crew rows under the Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association (VASRA) and follows the Virginia High School League (VHLS) sports schedule.
