🎉 We covered 12 miles of Manhattan, together! Thank you for your support! 🎉

We kicked off our first NPNC Walk-a-thon on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, covering 12 miles of Manhattan with a group of lovely community members! 14 cyclists began their journey from downtown near Brooklyn Bridge City Hall while 7 walkers began from northern Manhattan. We finally converged at Gaylord White Houses and held a lovely celebratory brunch attended by community members and our committed participants. This event helped give encourage and life to the future possibilities of younger and older people being together and foster intergenerational community building.

Our campaign will remain active until December 26th. Please consider spreading the word via this campaign to help us reach our goal!

What are we fundraising for?

This fundraiser will make it possible for 30 high school students to build lasting connections with seniors this spring and summer through sharing stories, skills, and friendship across generations. Together, they’ll take part in intergenerational activities like storytelling, tech tutoring, and community projects that strengthens bonds between youth and older adults. A portion of the funds will also provide summer stipends for students who assist with mobility support and excursions, ensuring every senior can fully participate. Thanks to you, wisdom is honored, youth are empowered, and communities grow stronger.
