Currently, the medical community faces significant data gaps that prevent the development of targeted therapies. Decoding Darier's is not just our campaign name; it is a clinical necessity.

The Need for Targeted Funding

Scientific progress is often measured in millimeters, but for those with Darier's, every breakthrough is a milestone. Our current initiatives are limited by a lack of specialized genetic sequencing resources and patient registry support. Specifically:

Data shows that 1 in 30,000 individuals are affected by this rare condition, yet it remains significantly under-researched.
Limited funding results in a 5 to 10 year delay between initial discovery and potential treatment applications.
Current research efforts require an additional $50,000 to complete the next phase of our data collection study.

Our Vision for 2026

We have a clear roadmap to accelerate the understanding of Darier's Disease through our Decoding initiative. With your support, we will implement a three-pillar research strategy:

Identify existing FDA-approved compounds that prevent loss of adhesion between DD skin cells
Identify and manipulate molecular mechanisms to prevent DD skin cells from stress-induced damage
Determine how metabolic wiring in DD cells contributes to loss of adhesion (i.e blistering) and inflammation
