Let me reintroduce my Kaizer King 💛 , at 20 weeks anatomy scan ultrasound my ob/gyn doctor informed me something was wrong with my baby , she mention the words clubbed foot and spina bifida without giving me any other information till I had a support person with me , which was the following week (21 weeks prego) i got to see an high risk doctor and got an amniocentesis done and they had a more detailed ultrasound that can give me more information about my sweet boy diagnosis welp , that day they confirmed his condition! Spina Bifida myelomeningocele (the most severe) ,Clubbed foot & Chiari Malformation 2 then I was giving the option to terminate , surgery before birth or surgery right after birth . I choose surgery before birth ( to give him a better outcome) womens recommended Houston , Texas!!!!! fast forwarding ( 23 weeks prego ) after a 4 hour drive , a whole day of visiting Texas doctors I was approved for the surgery!!!!!! the procedure had to be done before 25 weeks gestational … my family was not mentally prepared for this , not financially prepare or anything! but it was the best option for our little man . we had to relocate , leave our 3 other kids behind , Kaizer came early (6 days after fetal surgery) , he had to stay in Texas nicu for 72 days . a lot of back & forth & I would do it all again for my sweet , lovable , thriving SB warrior! .. this is year 3 with the walk and roll and would be glad if you can join us !
