Why water matters this summer

During the hot summer months, especially this year, conditions on the front lines in Ukraine become difficult. Defenders carrying heavy gear under stress require up to a gallon of water per day to remain alert and healthy. Without it - dehydration, fatigue, and heatstroke can quickly impact a Defender's health. We are launching this campaign with a $10,000 goal to provide dependable hydration supplies during the hottest part of the year.

Our progress so far

With your support, Sunflower Seeds Ukraine has delivered over 3,000 water packs and filters to recipients as of the end of 2025, including 2658 camelbacks and 394 water filter. Last year along, the demands for the hydration packs doubled from 574 in 2024 to 1147 in 2025. And every single one of them makes a difference – our Ukrainian team works directly on the ground to ensure these items reach those who need them most.

How your donation is used efficiently

We manage our supply chain carefully to maximize the impact of your contribution:

The cases for the hydration packs are sourced from US military surplus as used items at 10% of the retail price.
The hydration inserts are purchased as new, sanitary items directly from the factory where they are made.
The water filters are manufactured overseas and drop-shipped directly to Ukraine, reducing transit costs.
These re assembled and packaged in our warehouse in western Ukraine by a dedicated team of student helpers.

From our warehouse in Ukraine, these supplies are distributed to Defenders that pick them up near-front-line towns via Nova Poshta

25 dollars provides 1 complete hydration pack, including a case and an insert.
50 dollars buys 5 personal water filters shipped directly to Ukraine.
100 dollars provides 4 complete hydration packs for a squad of Defenders.
250 dollars provides 25 personal water filters for Defenders on extended missions.
500 dollars provides 20 hydration packs, securing water for a small platoon unit.
