It is so heartening when we receive a gift from a generous donor that allows us to say "Yes" to one more family who needs a helping hand.

Beyond the hard numbers, it's seeing the gifts as gestures of generosity.

By making a gift, you have declared Wayside Schools Giving Tree a worthwhile campaign, and by extension, our scholars as important.

Last week, I volunteered to sub a 2nd grade class. The scholars were excited to see someone new come to their classroom and they quickly memorized my name. As we were preparing for dismissal, a scholar saw their specials teacher, and she exclaimed to her to come and meet me and shouted: "This is Ms. Elizabeth!"

This interaction reminded me that a small gesture or moment can make a huge impact. And, you have done this with your gift. Thank you.
