This EXPERIENTIAL CHALLENGE FUNDRAISER aims to raise funds to support GYA while also ENGAGING OUR COMMUNITY IN EXCITING, TRANSFORMATIVE CHALLENGES that embody the spirit of gap year growth and empowerment.

GYA defines a gap year as "an intentional period of time devoted to personal growth and exploration through experiential learning opportunities." We believe that embodying a GROWTH MINDSET and pursuing healthy CHALLENGE are elements of the most impactful gap year experiences:

>> What are some areas you would like to grow in?

>> What is something you've always wanted to do, but haven't made time for yet?

>> What are some experiences that might feel uncomfortable at first, but that will be enriching in the long run?

Pick an individual challenge to support, or simply make a gift to the general fundraiser. All donations will support GYA's initiatives in:

>> Gap year planning resources for students & educators

>> Gap year research to inform broader acceptance and support of gap year experiences

>> Standards & accreditation that maintain high quality gap year programming and advising

>> PLUS, 10% of all funds raised will be dedicated to a GAP YEAR SCHOLARSHIP for students pursuing sustainability-related gap year experiences. The more you give, the more we'll give away!
