See the man sitting in the truck? That’s Joe Pickett, one of HomeAhead’s founders. In 2018, Joe and a few friends noticed that people in our community were moving into housing with almost nothing: no bed, no table, no pots and pans, no blankets. So they decided to do something about it.

Today, HomeAhead carries that work forward. Our community generously donates furniture and household goods, but there are always gaps to fill: essential items that may not come in through donations but are still needed to make a place feel like home.
