The Interchange Food Pantry (IFP) story is one of evolution—from a small neighborhood initiative to a massive city-wide mission to end hunger in Milwaukee through high-quality nutrition

Nutritious Priority: Instead of just handing out non-perishables, they began purchasing high-quality, wholesale produce to combat the high salt and sugar found in typical donated items.
Going City-Wide: In 2018, IFP removed zip code restrictions to serve all Milwaukee residents.
Strategic Locations: They opened satellite pantries in the 53206 and 53233 zip codes—areas with the highest poverty rates and deepest "food deserts" in the city.
Impact Today: We serve 1376 families per month, roughly 47% of whom are children.
