Help Keep Y.O.U. Early Learning Academy Open for Quitman County’s Children

For 23 young children in Quitman County, Y.O.U. Early Learning Academy is more than a preschool—it’s a safe, nurturing place where they learn, grow, laugh, and receive the care every child deserves. Our full-day, tuition-free program gives families equitable access to high-quality early education, nutritious meals, transportation, and wraparound support they simply cannot find anywhere else.

And in a rural county with limited early childhood options, our preschool is a lifeline.
Families depend on us so they can work. Children depend on us to be ready for kindergarten. The community depends on us because early education is one of the strongest drivers of long-term success—breaking cycles of poverty and giving every child a fair start.

But today, our doors are at risk of closing.

For years, generous support from Save the Children has made this program possible. Now, due to circumstances beyond their control, that funding ends in December. Without emergency bridge funding, our school will be forced to shut down—leaving 23 children without a stable, loving learning environment and dozens of families without the support they rely on.

We urgently need to raise $80,000 by May to keep our classrooms open, our teachers employed, and our children learning in a place where they feel safe and seen.
