Oregon Sex Workers Committee was formed in 2021 by and for sex workers with big goals in mind - to make sex work safer through advocacy and resources. And the truth is, we can only continue with YOUR help.

We have learned so much in the last four years about how to champion for those in our community: adults of all ages, regardless of any reason for pursuing this work.

Through the hard work of volunteers and your generous donations, our mission has evolved as we learn the most impactful ways to protect our community. Harm reduction has become a pillar of our work, with grassroots distribution of harm reduction supplies and education. Since July 2023, we’ve distributed 943 units of nasal naloxone and 1,774 units of liquid naloxone locally, plus 222 units nationally. Additionally, 31 students have enrolled in our Overdose Prevention Course in just 6 months of launching, with 7 earning full certification. These initiatives showcase OSWC’s adaptability and dedication to addressing the evolving needs of the sex worker community.

But here's the thing...our ability to continue this work is at risk.

The current administration threatens funding as well as availability of supplies like naloxone and plan B. Thankfully, OSWC is here for the long haul, regardless of policies that threaten the safety of sex workers, and we hope you are too.

Our goal is to expand these life-saving services to address the needs of the most vulnerable - those who live and work on the streets. We have started partnering with established groups in this space, as well as building an STI prevention class to reduce stigma and improve the safety of our community.
