When Whidbey Island Aerial Athletics opened its doors in 2024, we launched with one clear mission:
To provide every child in our community the chance to pursue the athletic education they dream of—regardless of their financial circumstances.

In just one short season, we’ve seen that the need is far greater than our resources. Families are reaching out every day for help, and we’ve already given away more scholarships than we have funding to support. Our gym is overflowing with kids who are ready to soar—yet many are still on the waiting list.

We now face a pivotal moment.

We’ve already outgrown our current space.
We need new, safe equipment.
We have more children eager to join than we can afford to serve.
And—we have the opportunity to move into a much larger facility that could transform what we’re able to provide.

But we can’t do it alone.

This is where you come in.

Why This Matters

Athletic programs like gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline, and All-Star cheerleading are more than just sports—they are life-changing opportunities. Being part of a year-round athletic program gives kids a positive outlet, structure, confidence, resilience, and a community of peers and mentors who lift them up.

At WIAA, every athlete is taught not only skills on the mat, but also kindness, teamwork, and perseverance off the mat. Our gym is a safe haven where children from all walks of life come together, free from bullying and judgment, supported by a culture of love, respect, and encouragement.

We believe no child should be turned away because of circumstances beyond their control.

The WIAA GAP (General Assistance Program)

Our GAP fund is how we make that promise possible. It’s fully volunteer-run, which means every dollar goes directly to the kids—providing scholarships, purchasing equipment, and keeping the gym doors open to all.

Even our athletes give back: whenever our Flyers fundraise, a portion always goes into GAP, so our kids learn the value of lifting others as they climb.
