GallantFew: Wichita Mountains Adventure Waiver

April 23–26, 2026

Event Overview: This event involves camping at Doris Campground and hiking within the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. Activities include, but are not limited to, hiking on uneven terrain, camping in wilderness conditions, and optional fishing.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and camping involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Physical exertion and potential exhaustion.
Unpredictable weather conditions and rugged terrain.
Contact with wildlife or insects.
Risks associated with being near bodies of water.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation and certify that I am physically fit to perform these activities.

2. Transportation & Carpooling

I acknowledge that carpooling from Movement Gym (Grapevine, TX) is a voluntary arrangement. GallantFew is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or loss of property that may occur during transit to or from the refuge, whether traveling in a personal or shared vehicle.

3. Code of Conduct: No Drugs or Alcohol

To ensure the safety and camaraderie of all participants, GallantFew maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol for the duration of this trip. I agree to abide by this policy and understand that any violation may result in immediate removal from the event at my own expense.

4. Permits & Regulations

I understand that if I choose to fish, I am solely responsible for purchasing and carrying a valid Oklahoma fishing permit. I agree to follow all Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge regulations.

5. Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release and hold harmless GallantFew, its officers, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, actions, or losses for bodily injury or property damage arising out of my participation in this event.
